Our Team
Amy Munsterman is our Primary Mental Health Coordinator. Originally from Nebraska, Amy has over 13 years experience in the mental health field. She is currently registered as a Psychotherapist in New Zealand and has extensive experience providing therapeutic and assessment services to individuals with moderate to severe mental illness, dual diagnosis and in suicide prevention and crisis intervention. Heather Sander is our Primary Mental Health Non-Clinical Coordinator supporting the Mental Health team within the Capital, Kapiti, Wairarapa and Tumai Mo Te Iwi PHOs. Prior to joining Compass Health Heather was Service Manager of a Healthcare NZ branch, has a nursing and a health and disability administration background, and now enjoys working with the PHO to provide accessible and appropriate services to people in our communities.
Our Services
Primary Solutions
Primary Solutions is a free service which aims to improve access to health and social services to support mental wellbeing. You can access this service if you are enrolled or intend to enrol with a Capital PHO doctor/practice, if you are experiencing a mild to moderate mental health issue and if you meet one of the following criteria:

• Youth between 10 and 24;
• All Maori and Pacific Island peoples;
• All people eligible for a Community Services Card.

To be referred for this service, you can contact your family doctor, contact the coordinator directly or talk with a community agency to help you find the right person to talk to.
Mental Wellbeing Resources

WellNet
Wellington Mental Health Promotion Network, WellNet, meets every second month, provides leadership for the network, organises quarterly forums for members with speakers on health promotion activities and the opportunity to meet and share information, and produces a twice yearly newsletter.

Primary Mental Health - Te Pae Kaiawha is a comprehensive database of primary mental health and addiction services in New Zealand.
Te Pou is New Zealand's National Centre of Mental Health Research, Information and Workforce Development.
The Mental Health Foundation is the lead organisation in New Zealand working to improve the mental health and wellbeing of all people and communities in Aotearoa/New Zealand.
Depression.org.nz aims to help New Zealanders recognise and understand depression. It encourages peole to seek appropriate help and offers resources for health professionals treating people experiencing depression.
The Lowdown is a friendly and welcoming online space created to help young New Zealanders understand and recover from depression.
Beyond Blue is an Australian organisation providing information about depression to consumers, carers and health professionals.
